Spiritual Warfare in the Book of Psalms – 216

Filed under: Spiritual Warfare School — kellporten @ 19:20

Ps. 139:21
Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee …

The evil spirits hate God.

We often see the evil spirits as OUR enemies, and yes, they are. But, first and foremost they are enemies against GOD. The war is between God and the devil, and of course there is no question about who is the strongest. The devil cannot even get close to God, since he was cast out of heaven.

Rev. 12:7-9
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Since the evil spirits cannot attack God directly, they will attack us instead. The main reason for their attacks against us is that they want to harm God. We are His beloved creation, and He takes the attacks on us personally.

We need to look upon the attacks from a higher perspective. The less we get deceived into pitying ourselves because we are being attacked, the more God can bring us into His plan. He wants to use us to stop His enemies, the evil spirits.
