Spiritual Warfare in the Book of Psalms – 188

Ps. 127:5 (NKJV)
Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them …

This verse talks about sons we get in our youth (some believe it’s talking about youth getting saved), but here we will primarily talk about a truth, concerning every believer.

…when they contend with their enemies

Many believers ask God to stop demonic attacks, and, yes, God’s power makes the enemy flee. But, we must understand that we have a mission to speak commands against the enemy. When we speak we release God’s power.

When we do our part, we can expect results. When we speak against the enemy, we “will not be put to shame”. The enemy knows that, and part of his strategy is to hinder us from speaking, or rather hinder us from speaking the right thing. He encourages us to speak failure and unbelief, but he doesn’t want us to speak commands against him.

We could paraphrase Ps. 127:5,

Blessed is the church that has a lot of youth, who have learned to command the enemy to leave”.
