Spiritual Warfare in the Book of Psalms – part 121

Ps. 46:8
Come, behold the works of the LORD …

The works of the Lord becomes visible when we command the evil spirits to leave.

God has commissioned us to drive away the enemy, it is our job, not His. It’s so important that we understand, we cannot see the fullness of God’s work in our life, or other’s, unless we take our responsibility and do what we are called to do. We need to understand that we can indirectly allow the enemy to steal, kill and destroy, because of our passivity, while Jesus came so we should have an abundant life.

We want to see God act in His power, and He certainly has the power to change all our circumstances, but are we willing to do what we are meant to do? Are we willing to become “idiots” who drive away an invisible enemy, when our intellect and emotions might protest?

Or let us put it another way. Can we stand watching while people suffer because of evil spirits, who we have the ability to send away? Do people have to keep asking themselves why God doesn’t act? Must God’s solution for them remain invisible?

Isn’t it time for people to say: ”Come, behold the works of the LORD!”?
