Spiritual Warfare in the Book of Psalms – part 102

Filed under: Spiritual Warfare School — kellporten @ 12:52

Scripture:

Ps 37:40
… he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

Comment:

There is no contrast between using our authority and trusting in God.

It might seem like spiritual warfare, and trusting in Jesus, have nothing to do with each other, but they work together.

Every attempt to cast out evil spirits without realizing our total dependence on Jesus, will definitively fail. On the other hand, we put ourselves in a very dangerous position, if we trust in Jesus, and do not use the authority He has given to us.

We must understand that Jesus expects us to obey Him, and to do our part. Our mission is to cast out evil spirits.

Mark 16:17
… In my name shall they cast out devils …

If we trust in Jesus, and don’t use our authority against the evil spiritual world, we are being disobedient to Him. That will bring consequences. Trusting in Jesus, and obeying His commands work together in a powerful way. .

When all this has been said, let’s once again remind ourselves, Jesus is our security, and that we are totally dependent on Him.
