Spiritual Warfare in the Book of Psalms – part 67

Filed under: Spiritual Warfare School — kellporten @ 15:00

Scripture:

Ps. 18:40 (ASV)
Thou hast also made mine enemies turn their backs unto me …
(Swedish version: You have made my enemies flee from me)

Comment:

Here we have the right order – the enemy is running away from God’s children. When the evil spirits notice that we know about our authority and are using it, they will flee. They have nothing to set against it.

The evil spirits try to make us look at our situation in the battle as impossible. We are shot at with thouhts about how much easier it would be if we would become more ‘normal’. After all, we believe in God, even though we don’t fight. Then we need to understand that kind of thinking is not in line with the Word of God.

God’s plan is to make the enemy flee, and He has decided to use us. An important part of the battle plan is to stand firm, i.e. NOT flee. The Word of God tells us to resist the enemy. Then he will flee.

Jam. 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you
