Filed under: Spiritual Warfare School — kellporten @ 13:24

What function will the angels have when Jesus returns?

The angels will not just accompany Jesus when He returns. They will gather together the believers into heaven, and they will also gather “the sons of the wicked one” to be burnt.

Matt. 25:31
When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him …

Matt 13:30,38-39
30 … and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn
38 … the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.
39 … the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.

Can the angels of God perform physical things here on earth?

Yes, an angel rolled back the stone from Jesus’ grave.

Matt. 28:2
And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it.

An angel opened the prison doors and brought the apostles out.

Acts 5:19
But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out …

Are there angels in charge of nations?

The bible says that the angel Michael stands watch over “the sons of your people”, i.e. over Israel.

Are we to worship angels?

No, angels are not to be worshiped.

Rev. 19:10
And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! …

Can we call for angels to help us?

We should first, and foremost, trust in God and His solutions. When Daniel was cast into the den of lions, he was not hurt because he believed in God (Dan 6:23). The solution at that time was, God sent an angel to shut the lions’ mouths (Dan 6:22). However, Jesus said He could pray to the Father and He would provide Him with more than twelve legions (72,000) of angels (Matt. 26:53).

Should we call for angels to teach us, deliver us, etc.?

Absolutely Not! That can open us up for demons.
