The two spiritual kingdoms – part 1

Filed under: Spiritual Warfare School — kellporten @ 16:13

What are the types of kingdoms mentioned in the bible?

The bible mentions both natural, and spiritual kingdoms.

What is meant by ’natural kingdoms’?

Every human lives in a nation, whether they live in cities, villages or in the countryside. These nations have one or more leaders who rule the nation. Natural kingdoms are visible, i.e. the nation, and its inhabitants can be seen.

What is meant by ’spiritual kingdoms’?

In the same way that there are natural kingdoms that can be seen, there are also spiritual kingdoms that cannot be seen. These kingdoms are inhabited by spiritual beings, but humans also belong to them. Just as there are rulers over natural kingdoms, there are also rulers over the spiritual kingdoms.

What spiritual kingdoms are there?

There are two spiritual kingdoms, the kingdom of God and the kingdom of the devil. There are no neutral zones between the two kingdoms. Either we belong to one, or the other.

Is a natural kingdom connected to a certain spiritual kingdom?

No, both spiritual kingdoms are represented in every natural kingdom.

Are there neutral spiritual zones in a natural kingdom?

It is important to understand that there are no neutral spiritual zones, just the kingdom of God and the kingdom of the devil.

What determines which spiritual kingdom we belong to?

Everyone who has received Jesus as his personal Savior belongs to the kingdom of God, whereas everyone who has not received Jesus belongs to the kingdom of the devil. That means, we belong to the kingdom of the devil until we receive Jesus, and become part of the kingdom of God.

If someone appears friendly and caring, does it mean that he belongs to the kingdom of God?

The way we behave does not determine which spiritual kingdom we belong to. It should, of course, be natural for us to act friendly and caring when we belong to the kingdom of God. But, it is the choice whether to receive Jesus or not, that determines which spiritual kingdom we belong to, and nothing else.
