Spiritual Warfare in the Book of Psalms – part 39

Ps. 10:2 (NKJV)
The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor …

It is important to see the attacks from the evil spiritual world behind the situation of a person in trouble. We often think a person has himself to blame when he gets into trouble. And it is true that we reap what we have sown, that is we have to take the consequences of our wrong actions. However, we at the same time must be aware of the fact that the evil spirits tempt, push and deceive people to act wrongly. A person never deserves to suffer, regardless of how much wrong he has done. Jesus died to restore that person. Instead of blaming people we need to fight for their freedom.

We must also realize that the evil spiritual world will never hesitate to attack a person in misery. A suffering person is a target for the darts of the evil spirits, since they know that it is harder for us to defend ourselves when we are having a hard time. We should therefore, with all power, strive to get out of depression and feelings of being defeated, even though our circumstances don’t change immediately. We should fight to get free, instead of looking for more trouble. If we cannot handle the battle ourselves, we need to ask our brothers and sisters for help.
