Spiritual Warfare in the Book of Psalms – part 33

Filed under: Spiritual Warfare School — kellporten @ 15:54

Ps. 7:1-2
1. O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
2. Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.

The evil spirits want to tear your soul apart.

We are subject to attacks from the evil spiritual world both against our body and soul, but it is without doubt the soul that is the first target. The salvation of the soul, i.e. what we call sanctification, is something of utmost importance. I don’t believe we have yet realized the tremendous consequence if the Holy Spirit doesn’t get full access to our soul. Of course the enemy does everything he can to sabotage the salvation of the soul.

The enemy also knows that the body is influenced by the soul. If he can win the fight over your soul, it makes it much easier to hit your body.
