Spiritual Warfare in the Book of Psalms – part 10

Ps. 1:5
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment…

The fact that we understand the importance of spiritual warfare, and are taking authority over evil spirits, doesn’t mean we will be free from judgment.

The foundation of our salvation is that we have received Jesus as our Lord. Our own works cannot add anything to what Jesus has done for us. So we don’t make warfare in order to be confirmed by God, but in order to do His will.

The bible talks about two kinds of judgment for believers when we at last stand in front of Jesus:

First we will be judged with those who didn’t receive Jesus. The verdict: to live eternally with him, or the second death.
Second our lives will be judged. What will be on the scales then is our salary. The bible says that that which is of God will remain, while other things will burn (1 Cor. 3:12-15).

When speaking about this lets remember the wonderful promise in 1 John 1:9

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Notice that we will be forgiven if we CONFESS our sins, not because we feel sorrow and walk in condemnation for a long time, or because we do a lot of good things for God.

How many times should we confess a sin that we have committed? One time. Then we are forgiven.
