Spiritual Warfare in the Book of Proverbs – part 214

Prov. 24:12
If you say, “Surely we did not know this,” Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?

Prov. 24:12, shows us that we cannot claim ignorance, and it is connected to verse 11.

Prov. 24:11
Deliver those who are drawn toward death, And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.

Ignorance, of the importance of spiritual warfare in order to rescue people in our surroundings, is no excuse before God. For those who are willing to see the truth, the Bible is full of information on spiritual warfare. We read about how Jesus went about setting people free who were demonized. He did this to set them free, and as an example for us to follow. Let us look at some Bible passages that clearly show that we are supposed to take the battle against the enemy:

Mark 16:17
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

Luke 10:19
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Jam. 4:7
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

1 Peter 5:8-9
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

It is time for the body of Christ to wake up for the responsibility to make the enemy flee and thereby set people free.
