Spiritual Warfare in the Book of Proverbs – part 180

Scripture:

Prov. 19:3
The foolishness of a man twists his way, And his heart frets against the LORD.

Comment:

Our decisions and actions will have consequences. The Word of God says that we will reap what we sow.

Gal. 6:7
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

When we obey the Word of God it will bring blessings, but the contrary is also a fact. When we don’t obey the Word of God we have to reckon with negative consequences.

The bible is clear about the existence of evil spirits. It is also clear about our mission to deal with them. When Jesus was here on earth He showed us how to act as believers, and He cast out evil spirits where ever and whenever they manifested.

Matt. 8:16
When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick,

Mark. 1:39
And He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out demons.

Jesus has given us, as believers, a mission to cast out evil spirits.

Mark. 16:17
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons …

When we don’t obey Jesus, that is, when we don’t act according to our mission, we allow the evil spirits to harass us. Tragically, there are many Christians who, when the evil spirits attack them, do not realize the real reason for their problems and get mad at God instead. God never does what is wrong! We do what is wrong when we don’t use the authority over the evil spirits that has been given to us.
