Desire without knowledge is not good– how much more will hasty feet miss the way!

Desire without knowledge is not good …

The biggest problem in Christianity, when it comes to spiritual warfare, is probably the lack of knowledge. There is far too little preached and taught about the subject, and as a result, many wonderful believers do not have a clue about the battle we are in, nor about the authority we have to make the enemy flee.
Why then is there so little teaching about spiritual warfare? A big reason is, many leaders lack the knowledge themselves.

… how much more will hasty feet miss the way

If the enemy can’t prevent us from gaining knowledge about spiritual warfare he will change his tactics. Instead of trying to slow us down, he tries to make us act too hastily. Spiritual warfare means to listen to the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Supreme Commander, and the Holy Spirit is the “Dispatch Central”. There is absolutely no room for our own ideas. The enemy knows that very well, and he is therefore trying to make us rush ahead on our own strength and wisdom. When such a project later on capsizes, the enemy wins a double victory. First, the enemy managed to make us go wrong. Second, the enemy uses the failure as a warning, an example to keep others away from spiritual warfare.
