Scripture:

Ps. 2:2-3
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

Comment:

There are principalities, trying to influence the leaders of a nation.

Have you heard about ‘territorial spirits’? There has been an intense debate concerning that subject. Many presume there is no such thing as territorial spirits, and since the resistance against that subject has been so strong we can suspect that it is important.

Let’s study Eze. 28 verses 2 and 12-13.

Eze. 28:2
Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:

Eze. 28:12-13
12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Verse 2 is speaking of ‘the prince of Tyrus’. From the context we understand that here it is refering to a human ruler. But when we read in verses 12 and 13 about ‘the king of Tyrus’ we see that it is referring to someone who was in the Garden of Eden. We understand that here it is speaking of the devil. From this we understand that there were both a human and a spiritual ruler over Tyrus.

It is very important that we understand that the evil spiritual world is conducting strong spiritual warfare against the leaders of a nation. Politicians and other decision makers on every level of society are being influenced by this invisible war, and because of that entire nations are being influenced.
